Individually - a grain on sand. Collectively - the beach.

Finding ones place within the Body of Christ is sometimes a slow and painful process.

I am slowly but surely coming to understand that within the Body of Christ ….. I am not a face, not an eye, not an ear, not a mouth, not an arm, not a leg, finger, toe….nor any part of the Body of Christ that is visible to onlookers .   I am an internal part.  I suspect I am not a kidney, a lung, an artery, a stomach…nor eve  a microscopic atom within a single cell.  I am likely a spent cell ready to be flushed as waste… an unseen, internal, microscopic…itty bitty hidden thing within the Body of Christ.  But I do understand that the Body is beautifully and wonderfully made… that the most microscopic  part of the body is as important functionally…as the parts which are visible.

My calling from God is clearly ‘follow me’.   To ‘follow’…one must be led by the unseen…by the Holy Spirit…by Christ.   ‘Follow me’ means to get so low in the dirt of service…that one is merely just another grain of sand.  I am worthy of no praise, no accolades, no benefit from man, no pats on the back, and no credibility amidst the established Church.   I am to worship through servitude both in thought and in deed. I am to both acknowledge and trust the will of God as He prepares man for His soon return.

My earliest experience with God…was in first grade. He began teaching me the Word through visions…silent videos in the mind whose script is the Word of God.  Through visions he gave me understanding  in the areas of healing, of prophecy, of knowledge, of wisdom, of edification,  of the generations of death, of life, of the second death, of decreasing and increasing, of angels, of the quality and depth of Love, of ultimate sacrifice, of the origins of free will, of overcoming, of salvation, of intercessory prayer, of the nature of God..Word..Christ..Holy Spirit, of the purpose of testing, of faith, of Christian sacrifice/martyrdom, of tribulation, of wrath, of the depths of evil and its hatred, …..and of the nothingness and dominionless plight of man outside of Christ.

Though I am likely one of the blood cells which dies and is quickly replaced… my reward is knowing that I contribute to the function of the Body.  How glorious to just ’be’ within the Body….to feel His heartbeat by way of the Holy Spirit. How humbling to experience the Lordship of the Head…a Lord beyond measure.  He willingly lowered Himself to a place, to a humiliation, to a terror, to a vileness…..in payment of the debt of DEATH…owed by me.   And, too,  the payment is applied to the accounts of  all whose hearts are broken by such UNMERITED FAVOR!
