Multiple doctrines have accused Adam and Eve as being unfaithful to God. Doctrines have indicated that Lucifer had power over God by entering the Garden of God and bringing death to God’s beautiful man. Scripture does not support such doctrine. As a child I knew the doctrine was flawed. Many years back, the Holy Spirit who ‘teaches’ our hearts showed me a beautiful Truth as I began to study the Word concerning Eden. I knew without reservation that Lucifer had no power to interfere with the mighty plan of God for His man. I understood that God planned for man to be given the mighty power of Free Will. Free Will was first seen in Genesis 3:22 when Adam and Eve experienced knowledge of both Good and evil at the Tree of Knowledge as Eve ate its fruit and gave to Adam to eat also. ( 1 Timothy 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.) Adam was not deceived but, as a type for Christ, knowing Eve could not return to him, chose to go into death in order to redeem Eve (Christ died to redeem the Bride) . Free Will would be the awesome tool he would use to ‘choose whom ye will serve’ – Good or Evil, Life or Death. When man chooses God, through the process of Regeneration, man would take on the DNA of the loving father. (Romans 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,) ( (Hebrews 9:27And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:).
As surely as Adam knew Eve and Abel came forth…likewise when Adam and Eve knew evil at the Tree of
Knowledge…FREE WILL was born., ‘not willingly, but by reason of him who subjected the same in hope.’ Romans 8:20.
‘James 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Man has the choice to ‘escape’ temptation (1 Cor 10:13) . Man’s choice to sin is always an offense to God. But religious tradition falsely teaches that Adam and Eve ‘knew’ both good and evil before the Fall and, thus, with knowledge and forethought succumbed to temptation and sinned. Adam and Eve ‘knew’ Good with God. Immediately after spiritual death happened at the Tree of Knowledge, God said, ‘ (Gen 3:22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil…..‘.) Before the Fall, Adam and Eve lived face-to-face with God and were without sin/lust. They were fully the pure/innocent children of God living with the Father in a perfect Eden. ’Man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed’. Adam and Eve had no LUST to ‘draw and entice’ them…to tempt them to sin. They were fully in the presence and fellowship of God. They, though flesh, had not experienced spiritual death resulting in the ‘fallen’ nature. They were naked and unaware due to their innocent natures.
It was not possible for them to be ’tempted.’ Eden is clearly the beginning of the City of God seen in Revelations 21: 27. ‘ And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.’ Had Adam and Eve been fallen with lust natures, they would not have been permitted to dwell in Eden. Only after eating of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil did they become ‘ashamed’ of their nakedness. Gen 3.7: ‘And the eyes of them both were opened, and they ‘knew’ that they were naked;…’. Spiritual death has happened and they are now in need of redemption by the Lamb ‘slain before the foundation of the world.’
Nowhere does the Word show they were ever ‘tempted’. It only says Eve was ‘deceived’ ….which resulted in transgression from the pure nature to a ‘fallen’ nature. Adam was never deceived. He knowingly and willingly became sin for the bride. 1 ti 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Deceived, ‘beguiled’, or tricked does not indicate ‘lustful temptation.’
The master deciever… the most ‘subtle’ deceiver …’beguiled’ Eve. God is above all rule and has never been submissive to lesser powers. Thus, God’s dealings with His precious Adam and Eve in Eden were fully under His full authority and control . The most subtle deceiver did not ‘tempt’ nor distort the will of God concerning Adam and Eve. Eve was purposed to be beguiled, tricked, deceived, lied to. Adam was purposed by God to be a type of Christ who would leave the fellowship of the Father and go to the place of death with the bride. As a type of Christ, Adam willingly gave himself to sin and death …for the Bride. Adam spoke Truth when he answered God saying, Gen 3:12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.’ We reduce God to less than deity when we insist that Adam and Eve thought so little of the pure and loving nature of the Father ….not to mention the awesomeness of His power…that they would LIE TO HIM!!!! Adam and Eve did not lie to God!!!!! Even the ‘most subtle deceiver’ obeys – fears and trembles before the one and only God. The most subtle deceiver can do nothing outside the permission of God. God afffirmed His rule over Paradise in Revelations 21: 27 ‘ And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life. ‘ Like the eternal city of God, Eden was under the rule of God. The most subtle deceiver was there by the permission and will of God. Eve’s ‘beguiling’, too, was by the permission and will of God.
Eve was not tempted since she had no lust nature to draw and entice her. She transgressed after she was deceived and ate of the Tree of Knowledge. Adam knew in his spirit that he was to cleve to his bride and go with her into death. Both were completely aware of the depths of spiritual death and its resulting separation from the fellowship with the Father. Within the confines of their fallen nature, they are ashamed of their nakedness and hid themselves. Both answered the Father truthfully concerning the event at the Tree of Knowledge by the following:
Gen 3:12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. ‘
Gen 3:13 …. And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.’
And as a type or example pointing to Christ and redemption of the Bride, Adam was exonerated from contemporary indictment of his righteousness and motive by the following:
1 Ti 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
Adam knowing and willingly joined Eve in spiritual death so they would remain ‘one.’ Because of her fallen nature, beloved Eve is separated from Adam. God had put it in Adam’s heart to ‘cleave’ to his wife for eternal purposes. I know Adam did not imagine that he would be a type of another ‘husband’ who would give His innocent soul to Death to redeem the beloved Bride. Yet – please know that Adam died the first ‘spiritual death’ to be with Eve. Our holy and pure triune Christ gave His soul to the desolate horrors of second Death – a death that cannot be imagined unless revealed by the Holy Spirit (see my post titled ‘Crucifixion was the Least of it.)’
I fully realize that multiple doctrines have accused Adam and Eve as being unfaithful to God. Doctrines have indicated that Lucifer had power over God by entering the Garden of God and bring death to God’s beautiful man. I no longer believe such doctrine. Scripture does not support such doctrine. As a child I knew the doctrine was flawed. Then many years back the Holy Spirit who ‘teaches’ our hearts showed me a beautiful Truth. Once I studies the related scriptures, I knew without reservation that Lucifer had no power to interfere with mighty plan of God. I understood, that being the case, that God planned for man to be given the mighty power of Free Will. Free Will would be the awesome tool he would use to choose his Father – Good of Evil, Life or Death. Then man would take on the DNA of the chosen father.
Genesis 1: 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: Not until after the ‘fall’ was God’s man finished…equipped to choose dominion over the earth through choosing that dominion in Christ…free will. Not until after the fall was it said of Adam and Eve. Gen 3:22 ” Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil:‘ To have a clear choice of ‘whom to serve’ man would have to know both Good and Evil. God did not want robot children. He wants alive children who can receive and return Love. Love is His passion. Love is His power. Love is His heart. God is Love. And the nature of Love demands it be given away and received back into the soul. He is Love. There is nothing greater.
The Most Subtle Deceiver: ‘Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.’
Very well written!
