18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
After an encounter in April of 2005 with the manifested spirit of Elijah (Elias), I am urgently compelled to take seriously the words of Elias/Elijah the prophet, to open my heart to the transforming work of Christ….and prepare for the Second Coming of Messiah. The very real encounter allowed my heart to know, by way of the Holy Spirit, the virtue of the man Elijah whom God chose to be the forerunner of Messiah for both His first and second coming. (Isa 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make
straight in the desert a highway for our God’). The visit with the spirit of Elijah gave my heart insight into the characteristics of perfect love and devotion to God and to the Lamb of God – Christ. I now understand Christ’s words which honored John the Baptist (Elijah/Elias): ‘Matt 11:11 Verily, I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there has not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding, he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.’ Furthermore, I believe that same encounter with Eliash was experienced by many worldwide and that it was indeed a wake-up call announcing the seriousness of these last days. Thus, ‘Internet Elias’ site is a journey into the deep Word of God. The posts are not intended to give understanding which only comes from God to each man….but is intended to share the insights given me by the Teacher. The posts are not intended to make brief points…but are a journey into the Word of God….likely not for babes who might find the trip tiring. The posts are forever changing since God’s Word is alive and constantly teaches with deeper revelations. I often come back to a post and update its content with richer teaching from God. After all, He is the only one who knows what He meant…by what He said. Too, I recognize and appreciate the Godly wisdom demonstrated by fellow Christians and Reblog some of their posts to my site.
I believe in Divine Revelation of the Word by way of the Holy Spirit Teacher. I believe the Father desires that we, through the indwelling of the Holy Comforter (person of the Trinity), LIVE the Gospel of the Kingdom. I believe God requires holy, righteous, and fruitful works born out of true Faith…empowered by the indwelling Christ. I believe sin is unacceptable and is always an affront to the Father.. I believe true repentance will bear fruits of the same. I believe the Christ-like heart is a gentle servant’s heart. I believe He desires all believers to yield our bodies as the Temple through which He will bathe the poor, the outcasts, the orphaned, the widows, and all those in the highways and hedges with His Love and restoration to Life eternal through Jesus our Redeemer. His LOVE IS PURE and no man can have it…. lest it be given him by the Father ..through the Holy Spirit. God’s ‘Love never faileth!’ He continues to fill hearts with His peace and joy as He teaches that fellowship with Him comes only as We LOVE as We are LOVED. ‘Father, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”
2Cor 4:6For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us
8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
9Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body
17For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
“18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
…
“At the things which are not seen” hit me between the eyes. I stopped and felt a wisp of the power of God.
Please keep sharing…
God bless you,

Hi I E;
Bless you! Your page reminds me of a post on my blog at http://mymoss.wordpress.com/2009/05/ – “Make a Straight Path”.
It focuses on the more personal aspect of preparing a direct path for God to come into our hearts. John the Baptist preached that repentance was necessary to receive the Lord and salvation. After John was put in prison Jesus came preaching, “Repent and believe the gospel”.
In that way repentance prepares the way for Jesus into our hearts. It is the Holy Spirit (the goodness of God) that calls and leads us to repentance – not we ourselves.
That is on the ‘microscale’ of things. Your blog and passion focuses on macro or world scale of things for which I applaud you.
Thanks, – Mervyn S.

Ben, thanks for visiting. I am AMAZED at the power of the Holy Spirit in the area of edification! Your simple words, ‘enjoyed reading it,’ gave my heart the same feeling it gets when I’ve been able to help someone truly needful. It surely is a ‘God’ thing. Who would have thought that ‘internet’ would unite brothers and sisters in Christ…the world over. How I long to meet with those brothers and sisters…sit and share the hearts desire with each other. The structured hustle and bustle church scene just doesn’t seem to allow for that anymore…but some have remembered the need and formed ‘small group’ meetings. We ‘need’ each other in these days when spiritual warfare rages. We feel support for each other. We learn from each other. Yes, blogging is a ‘God’ thing. :smile:.
I’ll be visiting your site, also.
Love in the Lord,
Carolyn

After reading this and the comments, I felt as if I had been gathered into a small humble assembly, and also felt so honored to be present. I read your entry about Corrie ten Boom, and was convicted in my heart about some things.
It also made me feel…”homesick”. Our citizenship is not here…foxes have holes…

Theresa, thank you so much for visiting and reading. Your comment ‘touched’ deep inside my heart. It is amazing that through such a thing as Internet…we can, indeed, assemble ourselves together. It happens to me often. And I thank God for the edification and encouragement which comes from such encounters.
So glad to stopped by. Now I can visit you.
God ‘will be done’ for you and yours.

Hi! PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND! I’m so confused. I can’t even think straight, at all, anymore. Today, there are 3 beliefs, though one has many ways. They are as follows:
1. Lordship Salvation (Never sin once or habitually after knowing the truth)
2. Once Saved Always Saved (No need to repent)
3. Once Saved Always Saved (Repent every time)
4. Predestined (God made your choice. You have no choice to be saved)
I have a few questions:
None of (Once Saved, Only Saved) can answer #1.
1. If you’re always saved if you repent. What about Esau?
I get contradicting answers from Lordship about #2.
2. If we’re never to sin & only produce good fruits & good works after we’re saved, then what about King David’s mutder & fornication after being saved, yet King David was forgiven, upon repentance?
All I can see is if both are correct (Kinh David & Esau) then they either contradict themselves OR it’s, I fear to say “PREDESTINED” that wins out, saying those chosen go no matter if they sin after knowing the truth (King David) OR they sin & repent, but are rejected (Esau).
I can’t see any other option. I repented, but still sin, sometimes, so is it too late after repenting, but then still sinning, once or often afterwards? If so, why was King David forgiven then? He already knew God’s laws, but broke two big ones & was forgiven, but Esau did the same & was never forgiven? I don’t understand it. If repentance works the Holy Spirit into you & you can never sin again, once or often, then why didn’t the Holy Spiriy help me control my sins? Or, must I repent every time? Then, will I get treated like David or Esau? It only leads to PREDESTINE, which if it is, then there’s no hope, because some sinners win & some righteous still lose?

Lloyd, wow, wow. Your questions are amazingly clear, reasonable, and thought provoking for sure. Your questions have given me pause in how to respond. First, I affirm that I am not expert on religion nor am I an expert on Christianity. My faith is the product of a life lived for sixty-eight years of growth, experience, heartbreak, restoration, and, well – just life. I searched my heart, prayerfully, as I read the ‘options’ you presented which lead to ‘salvation.’ My heart immediately reminded me that likely none of the options mentioned are the path to salvation. I’m not going to take time to note the exact scriptures to share my feelings, but you can search the phrases in the Bible and find them easily.
Jesus said, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the Life. No man cometh to the Father but by me (paraphrased). And in another place He asked Peter, ‘Peter, whom do you say I am. And Peter answered, you are the Christ, the son of the living God. Then Christ said to Peter, ‘And I say you are Peter. On this rock I will build my church.’ I mention these biblical truths first to make clear that I believe deep in my heart that Christianity was always intended to be a personal and real RELATIONSHIP with the wonderful son of God -Jesus. I believe ‘relationship/friendship/kinship with Him is the ‘rock/foundation’ to which He referred in that conversation with Peter. And somewhere over the century’s religion became so tampered with, so to speak, that Jesus became a doctrine and was not again seen as a living being with whom we can communicate. Thus, in the relationship/fellowship between Christ/Peter, 1. Lordship Salvation (Never sin once or habitually after knowing the truth) would be very possible. And the ‘relationship’ concept could explain verses such as, ‘If you abide in me, and my word abides in you, ask what you will and it shall be done for them of my Father (paraphrased).’ Thus, in that place of fellowship, in that place of knowing, in that place of Christ-likeness (apprenticeship), and in that place of love/peace -one could see the possibility of 2. Once Saved Always Saved (No need to repent). Because in that place, one would be without sin since he/she has found the place of rest – sanctification- full spiritual maturity. But one is still flesh. Thus, Christ said, ‘Love covers a multitude of sin.’ With the real ‘love’ of the pure kind in our heart, we are merciful/kind/meek/love neighbor as self because we have chosen that place – we have chosen to choose Jesus’ law and have rejected the demands of the flesh. Man possesses a Free Will.
I see this different to most in that I am convinced in my heart that Eden went according to God’s plan. I did a Page on ‘Adam and Eve – Innocent.’ Reading it will give foundation for my belief from a biblical basis that God/Son/Holy Spirit intended that man would possess ‘free will’ and would, then, be ‘in our image.’ ‘Free Will’ was birthed in Eden during the event at the Tree of Knowledge and it remains today. The great gift God has given man is the power of Choice. When we ‘choose’ fellowship with Him – we take on, so to speak His DNA and by His power of atonement we become part of the Kingdom of God. Thus, He said, ‘You are in the world but not of the world.’
As to the following; 2. Once Saved Always Saved (No need to repent)
3. Once Saved Always Saved (Repent every time)- they are doctrines that are somewhat distorted. My dad often said, ‘The doctrine of Once Saved Always Saved is presented in such shallowness that it is leading many away from fellowship and relationship with our Lord’. My precious dad was a kind, humble man of a simple and beautiful faith. He was called by God as an evangelist (he never pastored a church). I was a small child at home when in the middle of the night I heard my parents in the next room. Mom and dad both emerged from their room and I immediately knew something significant had occurred. Dad said, ‘Jesus came and stood at the foot of the bed and said, ‘Son I am real. You tell them.’ Dad lived to be 79 years old. His kindness and love for all people bore much fruit. As customers (he owned a business) experienced dad’s kindness and ‘realness’ – this fellowship led many, many, many of them to ‘salvation.’ And all dad did was to tell them that Jesus is real – caring- attainable- and worthy of our love.
Now for 4. Predestined (God made your choice. You have no choice to be saved). I completely reject ‘predestination’ in the doctrinal form it is often presented. Why? Because God is a just, loving, and fair Father. There is ample biblical record that men then and now choose damnation. They choose ‘death’ and they reap ‘death. They refused to enter the safety of the Ark and God closed the door when the deluge/destruction began. They men chose destruction. God had offered them safety in the Ark. ‘The Truth is, ‘It is not my will that any perish but that all come to repentance.’ I believe ‘relationship with Christ’ is that place of safety in the here and now. He exists. He is alive. He intercedes and interacts with man in the here and now.
The doctrine of predestination, too, sometimes results from confusion/distortions of biblical concepts. Many use the one verse (paraphrased), ‘Those whom He foreknew, he predestinated to become sons of God.’ Well, God is all knowing. He ‘foreknew’ us all – even said He knew us from our mother’s womb.. But ‘foreknowing’ does not remove Free Will. God can certainly look to the end of our lives – to the end of our choices – and know before we are ever born whether we choose to become a son of God or a son of Satan. There are no other choices. Life or Death. Good or Evil. God or Lucifer. Spirit or Flesh. So now let’s talk about Esau.
God’s knowledge and overall plans are too big for us to comprehend. But He uses natural things to teach us spiritual truths / concepts. I love when Nebuchadnezzar (spelling?), King of the kingdom of Babylon given him by God – was playing host to dignitaries when he lustfully took all credit for the glorious Babylon. Afterward, God placed him in a pasture grazing with the animals – he even grew claws until such time that the king acknowledged “God rules in the kingdom of men and sets over it the basest of man. (Daniel 4:17). It is somewhere in God’s big plan, that He chose Jacob to inherit Isaac’s riches. It was the first time God had spoken to remind that the old way of it going to the eldest had changed. Now it would have more to do with ‘heart’ things over mere inheritance. Remember also that God had chosen Rebecca as Jacob’s wife. Bible shows her faithful and a believer of God. Thus, before the twins were born, God told her ‘the younger shall serve the elder.’ God communicated with man then and he still communicates via His spirit to our spirit man. Why God did not do this through Isaac, I can’t say. I also have a Post title, ‘ Rebecca’s Perfect Work’. The post discusses the event of Esau and Jacob. But it was God who chose Jacob because he cared about the inheritance for the right reasons. It was Esau who bargained his birthright away for a bowl of beans. And it was a bargain he never intended to keep. It was Esau who would have murdered Jacob, thus, Rebecca told Jacob to flea. Years later, Jacob returned with a huge family and wealth. And Esau welcomed him and embraced him. Beautiful ending. God always knows best. And in God’s big plan, we still see the remnants of Jacob and Esau in the middle east conflicts. I trust God to ‘rule’ in the kingdom of men- as He sees fit to fulfil His purpose and plan. And then there is David.
David is proof of Free Will – not predestination – but simple Free Will of the ‘choose you this day whom you will serve’ kind.
David knew ‘with every temptation I will provide a way of escape.’ Once King David who had found such favor with God – went past temptation and embraced lust – its lure was powerful. David wanted the woman enough to have her husband killed. Was he forgiven? Yes – because he sincerely repented and fellowship with God was restored. Were there consequences? Yes. An innocent man was dead and David’s child died. We tread dangerous ground when we go to the enemy’s playground. He is the Destroyer. The reason I mentioned earlier that Free Will is a powerful Gift from God is because with each choice a consequence is attached. We can make choices which perpetuate life or we can make choices which can hurt and destroy. Now, one other thing.
‘
You asked, ‘Why didn’t the Holy Spirit help me control my sins?’ Because God has already given you Free Will. You, me, we have full control over every choice we make. We choose the thing we want – always. Drug addicts choose drugs for the benefit derived. Adulterers desire the lure of lust. Obese persons chose food knowing it is destructive when they eat so much it becomes destructive to their bodies which are intended to be the temple (dwelling place) of God. We do totally and exactly what we want. We do have full power over our choices. And the one point of ‘controlling sin’ leads many of us down a wrong path because religious concepts/doctrine has led us away from one simple Truth – God desires to fellowship with us as He did with Adam and Eve in Eden. He loves us. He created us. Now, one last thing. The enemy does not want us to know who we really are. He lies to us. He confuses us. He hides his own destructive methods from us. He is Death. He comes in subtle ways – even transforming himself into ‘an angel of light.’
I am delighted you visited my site. I am refreshingly touched by your sincere confusion.. When you say, Hi! PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND! I’m so confused.’ – I see someone who needs the simple, gentle, and kind Truth that is found only by putting away all preconceived ideas and simply spending time reading the pure Word of God and allowing Him to teach you what He meant by what He said. After all, He is the only one who knows what He meant by what He said . Forget doctrines. Forget what men say. In the Word, and by His teaching, your confusion will end. ‘You need that no man teach you, the Holy Spirit will teach you all things ……’. And, Lloyd, to be sincerely seeking and searching as you are – it seems you are well on your way to finding the right answers you seek. ‘Ask and it shall be given, seek and you will find.’
Best wishes to you now and always. Carolyn
