 ConfusedWhy do we so frantically possess what we deem ‘ours’ when the Bible says…’Love your neighbor as yourself?’

 Why are we so surprised when personal troubles come when the Bible says, ‘When you are weak…then you are strong?’

 Why are we so fearful of the darkness in the world when the Bible says, ‘Fear not, Let not your hearts be troubled?’

 Why are we so faithless when the Bible says, ‘If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed..you could say to this mountain..be thou cast into the sea?’

 Why is the women’s fashion industry so huge when the Bible says, “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel,Confused with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array( 1 ti 2:9) ?’

 Why are we so self-righteous when the Bible says, ‘Pure and undefiled religion before God is to visit the widows and orphans in their affliction?’

 Why do we continue to sink millions of dollars into beautiful church buildings when the Bible says, “What, don’t you know your body is the Temple of God?’

 Why do we FEAST so socially..when the Bible says, “Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompense be made thee (Luke 14:12) andConfused (13) ’But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind ?’

 Why are we so obese when the Bible says, “I am that bread of life (John 6:48) and ‘This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh (Gal 5:16) ?’

 Why do we war against nations when the Bible says, ‘Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord (Romans 12:19) ?’

 Why do Christians allow politics to divide when the Bible says, “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,(Acts 2:46) and…(47)   Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved?’

 Why do we mistrust and judge others when the Bible says, ‘This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you (John 15:12)  and ‘By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another (John 13:35)?’

 Why does Christianity sport so many denominations when the Bible says, ‘And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd (John 10:16) ?’

 Why do we have such a NEED for our deeds to be accepted and recognized by others when the Bible says, “How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only (John 5:44)?’

 Why can we not SEE the Holy Spirit when the Bible says. ‘The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not

Confused

tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit  (JOHN 3:8) ?’

 Why do churches receive public offerings when the Bible says, “But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:(Matt 6:3) and (4) That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly?’

 Why do we facilitate and practice much public prayer when the Bible says, “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth insecret shall reward thee openly (Matt 6:6) and (5) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward?’

 Why do we see the sins, faults, and failures of others…rather than our own…when the Bible says, ‘Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye (Matt 7:5) ?’
