Insanity vs Evil

Candid criminal acts are discussed in the last chapter of  this post and may not be appropriate for all readers.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Attorneys are  preparing the insanity defense for the young Arizona shooter, Loughner.   Events preceding the murders clearly show a seriously conflicted young Loughner and my heart breaks for  all the might- have-

 beens concerning both the shooter and all his victims.  And after yet another brutal murderous attack on innocents….with ‘insanity’ mentioned as a possible motive,

 I ponder whether our society, especially the Christian part of society, has a realistic view of evil and whether they actually believe in the depths of evil so vividly documented in the Christian’s Bible.  

Seemingly, the more gruesome the crimes….the more we hear the term criminally insane.  What is the difference between true insanity and evil????  How can gruesome…monstrous…sadistic acts against another human being..especially against children…be anything other than total and complete monstrous EVIL?  

Premeditated murders …such as those done by Loughner …are secretly decided and justified ahead of time .  Laughner preplanned multiple murders evidenced by the number of clips on his person…and he clearly knew right from wrong since he kept his murderous plan a secret. What is insane about that?  Nothing.  So how does a person become so deviated from societal norm that his/her behavior SCREAMS “I am a destroyer.’    And why do we first suspect it as insanity rather than evil?  Why do we question whether the killer is responsible for his own actions?  How can one decide whether a killer has lost the mental capacity of knowing right from wrong….or whether he is fulfilling an appetite for destruction?   If  true ‘insanity’ is the culprit…why is it so often  sadistically murderous.   I know that only God can know a heart and that only He draws a guilty heart to contrition.    But I know, too, that Biblical truths historically show that many souls receive damnation because they are evil….not because they are criminally insane.

I am aware of an array of mental disorders such as schizophrenia which manifest delusional thought that is sometimes  destructive against a perceived enemy.  Some  disorders are genetic…some are the result of brain injuries…some are the result of disease…and  all are common to man.  Be clear that I am not discussing mental retardation/intellectual deficiency. I am specifically focusing on  mental illness/mental disorder/mental disease.   I worked with mentally deficient students for eighteen years…some with underlying disorders…autism…bi-polar….and so forth… and not one time did I meet a personality who was dangerous or destructive to those around him or her……because whatever motivates one to destroy…was not present in these intellectually deficient…but complex minds.  So where is the line?   Does a line exist which clearly places  illness on one side and  evil on the other side of the line?   

I don’t believe American society accepts the existence/reality of pure evil…..as in Lucifer…as in Satan…as in a vileness so putrid that ’it’ would do anything…even rape the angels of heaven.  I say clearly and emphatically…YES….A THOUSAND TIMES…YES!…There is a spirit being that is fully opposite the righteous character of God!!!!!!!

As a life-long Christian who is familiar with Bible history, I believe there exists one God….a being whose power is above all power created by Him….a being whose Good is above all  good created by Him…a being whose  Love is above all love created by Him ….and a being who created His own opposite so that each would contrast and prove the attributes of the other.  I believe  iniquity‘ is manifested in its fulness in Lucifer who was temporarily with God solely for the purpose of revelation of his evil nature.   The depths of Lucifer’s evil is understood  when one recognizes  that while he was with God…Lucifer HATED God….and desired to destroy the government of God.    He did not want to be God…but he wanted the power and authority of God so he could thrust forth his damnation and murderous destruction on all God’s creation!   Heavy..huh?  Won’t hear that at church…LOL.   But if we truly believe in the fulness of GOD….how can we not believe in the fulness of LUCIFER???   If we believe the Word is from God, how can we place so little emphasis on the endless pronouncements and warnings  God puts forth about the abominable evil father of darkness.  If we believe love, life, and healing are influences from CREATOR GOD….how can we not believe that hate, death, and destruction are influences from DESTROYER LUCIFER????   John 8:44 says, “You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.  HE WAS A MURDERER FROM THE BEGINNING and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. ….’  

Bible history documents the reality of evil from the Beginning.   God purposed Lucifer to approach Eve.  Only through personal experience (knowing) both GOOD AND EVIL could man be equipped to choose whom he would serve (free will).  God’s plan was to ‘make man in our own image.’   After permitting Adam and Eve’s separation from God/Good…through the spiritual death which resulted from affiliation with Lucifer/Evil…God said ‘Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil:…’  (Genesis 3:22).   Because of Free Will…every man chooses whom he will serve.   Cain chose to serve Lucifer and chose to challenge God’s authority. … which resulted in having  his fraudulent attempt at worship …rejected by God.    Abel was faithful and was accepted by God.  In contempt…in hatred…in the miry clay of earthy and evil indignation…  Cain murdered what belonged to God.  Lucifer was a murderer ‘from the beginning’ and Cain followed his evil influence.  And here we are thousands of years later experiencing the same contempt/hatred/evil indignation…and asking whether it is insanity????

I recently saw a Cold Case File about the 1980s BTK  (Bind, Torture, Kill) killer of Wichita, Kansas.  Cain’s evil did not compare to the evil  of Dennis Radar…. Congregation President of Christ Lutheran Church in Wichita.  His satanic murderous spree covered more than a decade and resulted in eleven murders including one whole family.  Radar’s EVIL acts were so vile that they were indicative of a person with no soul….a man damned….fully a destroyer.    After Radar’s conviction he said,  ’God is the light of the world.  Now that I have confessed…may I be accepted by Him.”  Say  WHUT????   Mockery all the way to the end!!    Radar talked about the gruesome details of his evil acts as lightly as one would describe toppings on a pizza. He wallowed in the rotteness of death…literally..by revisiting the decaying bodies of his victims…even enjoying the smell of putrid rotten flesh….the fruit of his destruction.  Dead. Completely dead inside.  Throughout his murderous rampage….he stayed in touch with news media ….reporting  the murders as though he were reporting sports events!!!  He was reporting sports events.  Murder/destruction/death/violation/decay was his sport…his pleasure. Evil!!!!  Pure Evil!!  And how like Lucifer to ‘transform himself into an angel of light.’  Radar disguised himself as a church leader…(2 Cor 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.)                                                                

A s Christians who claim to believe in the Word….why do we discount scriptures which clearly announce the presence of Satan in the world.  Revelations 2: 9 records,  ‘…….I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.’   Revelations 2:13 records God’s message to the church at Pergamos, ‘I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, even hast not denied my name, and has not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, WHERE SATAN DWELLETH.’  Revelations 2:19-24 records the Satanic infiltration of the church at Thyatira by Jezebel, daughter of Satan, and her successful influence towards ‘evil’….all in the name of Christianity.  HELLO????  EVIL??? HERE???  NOW???   IN CHURCH?????   WHY NOT????   Have we become to warm and fuzzy in our Christian ‘churchianity’ that we no longer believe in Satan???   God forbid!!!!!!!!!!

In a society where EVIL acts are continuously being  maliciously perpetrated against the innocent…where precious children are raped…beheaded…. and left to rot…where the weak are only prey for the devourer….is it not time we ADMIT to the reality that evil exists and that the only power against it is GOD???  My Bible says, ‘we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness in high places.’   My Bible speaks of the sadistic appetite of Lucifer who desired to literally ‘devour’ the flesh of the Christ child as he was born (Rev. 12:4).  Genesis chapter 19 records that  God sent two angels to deliver Lot and family from Sodom and Gomorrah before God rained fire and brimstone on its wicked inhabitants.  After learning of the arrival of the two angels,  the city’s roving band of homosexual men headed for Lot’s house to ‘know’ them.  Lot even offered men his two virgins daughters and begged … ‘do not do this wicked’.  The homosexual men said, ‘we want them’ and moved forward to break down the door to rape the two angels. The angels blinded all the men…to prevent the act.                                                                                                         

Rape is TRULY not about sex.   RAPE IS ABOUT SADISTIC DESTRUCTION!!!    Was the group rape of angels  about alternative lifestyle, about sex, about power, or about pure unadulterated satanic love of hatred/destruction/death?  God determined they were evil and no trace is found today of Sodom nor of Gomorrah.  Don’t believe it???   Why not???   What’s the difference in raping and decapitating a small and innocent child….and raping angels???    Nothing….there is no difference in EVIL….only the degree of destruction ‘it’ determines to perpetuate.    As Christians we had better get clear on what is good and what is evil.  Society can have no clear determination of what is good and what is evil…since to believe in Satan one must first believe in God. And society is a mixture of both believers and unbelievers.   Against both believers and unbelievers…Lucifer remains ‘the most subtle deceiver’ and is only recognized through warnings from the heavenly Father.                                           

 God clearly warns of the conclusion of Satan’s reign on the earth in the visible fleshly incarnated Son of Satan… ruler of the world..Antichrist.  When the time is right…God permits the fiasco to happen.  Scriptures explain/describe/WARN of the unimaginable DESTRUCTION which will come from the heart and mind of the unholy trinity…666…replica of Holy Trinity (777)…empowered by the Father (Satan), Son (Antichrist), and UnHoly Spirit (Spirit of antichrist).     Satan’s nature is only DESTRUCTIVE!  ALWAYS!!  He has no other nature. Scriptures show his destruction will be AGAINST ALL FLESH …against all life…so much that unless God intervenes with the Second Coming …’there would be NO flesh saved.’

I realize this post is disturbingly candid.  But evil is disturbingly candid and destroying bodies and souls in epidemic proportion.  It is past time FOR CHRISTIANS to identify it, to recognize it…and to choose against it.
