After being told of the first Tower strike by my school administrator, I turned on the classroom television and saw the second plane plow into the second Tower. Now…I knew this was no accident… that America was under attack. Words can’t express the feeling deep within my soul as I saw the two Towers go down like houses of cards…crushing all life within and around their walls. Still today…remembering the horrors of 9-11…I feel DESOLATION deep within my heart for having saw the ‘marker’ being placed in the time-line of America and the world. I say ‘marker’ because I know no man, no group of men, no government, no mortal on this earth could have accomplished what happened that day. No mortal calculation could have brought about the perfect storm of ’9-11.’
As I experienced 9-11, I KNEW something bigger than man was happening. The event was about much, much more than radical Islam, Holy War, or America. 9-11 was about having reached a place in TIME…where something new would begin….something never seen before…in the history of America…or in the world. As I said, no mortal could have so successfully calculated the perfect load of fuel….known the exact floor and corner to breach…known the perfect heat intensity to melt steel girders…nor could have perpetuated such a perfect destruction of a monument to man’s global enterprise. I would like to have been there to witness the incredible SHOCK experienced by the perpetrators of 9-11…as the two Towers melted to the ground. They knew…they KNEW …it was not an accomplishment of mortal man!!!! They never intended to bring the wrath of America onto their heads!!! They intended to use specific planes to hit specific targets…to do a degree of specific damage…while sacrificing the pilots and the innocent passengers on board the planes. IN THEIR WILDEST IMAGINATIONS….THEY DID NOT EXPECT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TWIN TOWERS!!!! I don’t know who…I don’t know how…and I don’t know why those two Towers fell in so short a time… and became as though they never were. But I do know that the soul of man is within the hand of God…and in the hand of no other. I know that God gives life and that God takes life. The whole of 9-11 was much..much more than radical Islam agendas. On 9-11…God placed a marker in time and in the hearts of His people. The marker is accomplishing its goals. What those goals are….only God knows!
