WHAT IS ‘SPIRIT’???? WHAT IS GOSPEL??? WHAT IS FAITH??? So many questions. So much terminology. What does it all mean??? Spirit of God, led by the Spirit, poor in Spirit, casting out of spirits, unclean spirits, willing
spirit, perceptive spirit, depth of spirit, dumb spirit, foul spirit, spirit of Elias, my spirit, strong in spirit, power of spirit, manner of spirit, submissive spirits, disembodied spirit, birthing spirit, AND…WELL…YOU GET IT!! WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN????
It means that the ‘spirit’ is a separate part of man…apart from the physical body…but dwelling within the physical body while on the corruptible side of existence. It is the KNOWING part of a man…the part made ‘in the image of God’…the part of man called ‘will.’ It is INVISIBLE…and is seen ….or manifested through the deeds of the physical body (By their fruits(deeds) ye shall know them). GOD IS A DISEMBODIED, LIVING, THINKING, SUPREMELY INTELLECTUAL …AND INVISIBLE… ‘S P I R I T.’ Unseen but REAL!!! REAL!! God’s ‘Spirit’ first communicates with man’s spirit through the written Word as revealed by the unseen, felt, and encountered..Holy Spirit. Man’s ’spirit’ must respond to God’s communicative efforts. When the Spirit of God and the ‘spirit’ of man comes together in ‘invisible’ but REAL spiritual communication…FELLOWSHIP IS BEGUN!!! No communication…no fellowship. God’s ‘Spirit’ and man’s ‘spirit’ are the force…the eternal link through which the two communicate. Apart from a connection between the two…worship cannot happen. Christianity is much, much, more than ‘following’ traditions. It requires one to ‘follow’ Christ..through communication with the Holy Spirit (unseen but R E A L !!!)
GOSPEL is the ‘how to’ for finding, following, and experiencing God. FAITH is the manifestation of the Gospel in the spirit of the man who KNOWS God and who is KNOWN by God..
2co 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight (Remember that FAITH and its fruits are the outward manifestation of an inward presence of God. Faith is not merely ‘believing’ in God. Satan believes and trembles at the reality and power of God. But Satan does not ‘believe’ IN God…nor does he have FAITH. Faith does not exist apart from the Gospel of the Kingdom preached by Christ. Both the Gospel and Faith are from the Spirit of God….into the ’spirit’ (soul) of the willing believer. Faith is the offspring of the Gospel conceived. Faith is the outcome of KNOWING God. Faith is a gift from God and is not given to the wicked….nor to those who practice sin. It is present only within an intimate relationship with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. FAITH IS PROOF OF THE INDWEELING PRESENCE OF GOD. Faith is the seed which flowers into righteousness…into holiness. FAITH results from divine revelation from God to man. FAITH is ‘spiritual’…invisible…unseen. Only its fruits are manifested….visible….seen……through deeds done in the body. Although our traditions teach ‘man is human and cannot keep from sin’…..THE GOSPEL DEMANDS HOLINESS…..THROUGH FAITH. God speaks for himself in the matter of Spirit, Gospel, Faith….GOD’S PERFECT WORK!!!
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

I would absolutely agree with this statement. Christianity is beginning to feel more like traditon which leaves me dissatisfied. I also recognize my short comings in this process as well. I really don’t know if it is easier be a christian now (where everything is unseen and requires faith) or when Jesus was around.
harleyq2, thanks for visiting! You are right concerning contemporary ‘christianity’ which is based more on tradition…than on the First Love. Our ‘christianity’ today seems very similar to the ‘christians’ of Ephesus. They were very committed to church and its workings. But they were not committed to Christ. Therefore, they were commanded to ‘Repent’ or be damned. But God knows all that. He sees. He hears. He reads hearts. And in all the things WRONG with the world AND with christianity (using little ‘c’ to reflect apostasy)….sprinkled throughout christendom and churchtendom (lol) are the real deals. And while God called those who find the true path…’few’….when time is accomplished…these ‘few’ of each generation of man…will be a number which cannot be counted by man.

I love the power in the Word! Reading through all of these Scriptures co-insides remarkably with the book I am currently reading. . . “The Release of the Spirit” by Watchman Nee. I’m not sure if it is still in print (I’ve had this copy since the 60′s) but I think you would find it very interesting (and may I say confirming). Thanks
