We are ALL the family of man. So very heartbreaking yesterday to see the devastation that has come to Haiti by way of the earthquake. Wish I could go to Haiti to help lift rubble in search of victims. But I can’t. I can, however, ’trust’ God to warm where there is cold, to give hope where there is fear, to protect the vulnerable from those who would prey on their time of weakness.
I think about the fearfulness of the children. But then I think of all the Haitians under this horror….and I suspect that both old and young are equally helpless in this wide-spread destruction. I desire supernatural strength for the rescuers…as they lift concrete to save lives. I desire safe landings for the planes loaded with equipment and supplies.
I am never so proud of America as I am in these times of destruction. We are our brothers’ keeper.. We are the hope of the hopeless. We must share the blessings of God. Americans will not only be judged for the wrongs we committ…but, also, for the good we fail to do. America must offer every means at our disposal to help the people of Haiti during their time of great suffering. And there is NO greater resource than prayer for the supernatural intervention of God to ease the suffering for these people.
