ELIAS TAKEN TO GOD AND ELISHA EMPOWERED
Elijah in the KJV) is seen first in the Old Testament as the faithful and empowered prophet of God. At the end of his initial time on earth, he was taken up to God in a chariot of fire with horses of fire…by way of a whirlwind. After his fiery ascension, he returns to earth, at the appointed time, embodied as John the Baptist, completed his forerunner mission of making ready a people prepared for the Lord, and was beheaded…as purposed by God. Then he is seen by Peter with Jesus and Moses at the Mount of Transfiguration. At the Second Coming, Elias will precede Christ as one of the two witnesses (indicated in scripture as both Elias and Moses) who will preach the Gospel of the Kingdom for the last three and a half years of the Age of Grace to the covenant peoples of Israel. (Revelations 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, ..)
Luke 1:17And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. (this verse speaks to Elias’s office both as John the Baptist and as the Witness in Revelations 11th chapter)
Matt 11:14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come. (also referring to John the Baptist)
Matthew 11:3 For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. (referring to John the Baptist who prepared the way preaching in the wilderness then baptizing unto repentance…at the First Coming).
Matt 17:10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
Matt 17 :11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things (referring to Elias’s coming as one of the two witness who’s empowered prophesying will restore the remnant of the ’spiritually blind and deaf’ of Israel back to their God immediately before the Second Coming of Christ for the Church. (Rev 11:13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, an part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.) *See Romans scriptures .. ’The Blinding of the Nation of Israel’(scroll to end of post).
12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
13Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
As forerunner of the incarnate Christ, he was under divine protection by God. He lived apart from society, wore animal skins, ate berries..and continuously ANNOUNCED the soon coming King. “Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.’ He was saying, “Royalty is approaching!!! He is worthy of your honor!!! HE IS YOUR KING!!!! Lay palm leaves for His path. Elias did his perfect work as John the Baptist. He was behead. Not to worry. In the Kingdom of God, a LARGE beheading is a SMALL thing. As John (Elias) was decreasing, the ministry of Jesus was increasing…….all according to the perfect plan of the Father.
Our current generation may be the generation to experience the awesome, rugged, faithful and empowered prophet, Elias. I, personally, have already done so….four years ago. I was blessed to hear, in an audible voice, in the wide-awake daytime, Elias’s crying forth, ‘ The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. ’
Both my ears and my understanding…heard the powerful, determined, LOUD, joyous, ANNOUNCEMENT by Elias as he, for the second time, ’is making ready a people prepared for the Lord.’ But the word he spoke cannot convey what my heart heard. My heart was allowed to ‘know’ the friendship, the brotherhood, the reverence, the purity of passion, and the unadulterated loving of the Trinity with his heart, soul, and mind. After the encounter with Elias, I could not share it with those closest to me for a week. It was too sacred. Days later, for the first time in my life, I set myself apart from the routine of my life, and spent three days closed in my upstairs room. My husband ran interference for me. He knew the depths of what I had experienced. During the three days, as I ‘drew nigh to Him’, He ‘drew nigh to me.” I am forever changed. Fear is gone. Judgement is gone. Love of the God kind works within me. I ‘KNOW’ now, like King Nebuchadnezzar, that God alone ‘rules in the kingdom of men.’ I ‘KNOW’ that every facet of the world and its peoples is under the divine control of God. Nothing of politics, economies, wars, disasters, life, nor death happens short of the sovereign permission and rule of God. NOTHING!
Thus my passion for Elias!!! Christ said of him, “Only the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.’

The Blinding of the Nation of Israel
*Romans 11:7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded
8(According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day
Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. (ONLY GOD KNOWS THE DAY AND THE HOUR WHEN THE FINAL GENTILE HEART REPENTS)
26And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
