ABUNDANTLY TRANSFORMED
they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly
The abundant life desired for us by our heavenly Father was never intended to be dependent on material or temporal possessions. AS many know, money does NOT buy happiness. Lots and lots of scriptures clearly reveal that abundant ‘life’ refers to the restoration of our spiritual deadness……back to LIFE and fellowship with the Good…..as it was in Eden. To believe that LIFE abundant depends on temporal objects such as fame and fortune is to be without spiritual insight as to the true things of God. I know! I know! We ‘luv’ our stuff! But the ‘stuff’ is only wood, stubble, and hay before God. It has no value in the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Let’s look at Moses. Now there’s a ‘humanoid’ who truly KNEW that abundance IN life …..is not the same as abundant LIFE! As the son of Pharoah’s daughter, he had fame and fortune. But he readily relinquished both to again be with the family of God. Whoe! I’ll take encounters with the living God any day over ’wood, stubble, and hay.’
Hebrews 11:24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter 25Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward.
Many men and women have sought… and are seeking… happiness without finding it. Because they seek it in the wrong vault. Money can’t give ‘peace that passes understanding’ to a heart. Temporal things can’t give LIFE to the soul. Fame can’t hold to its owner’s heart… a friend who will ‘never forsake you.’ Abundant life is not to be found in the physical realm. It is ONLY to be found in the spiritual realm of our Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
James 5:1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. 2Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. 3Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
Satan, enemy of God, hater of our SOUL, destroyer, liar, devourer of innocence, leviathan, serpent, and the most subtle deceiver has crept the ‘prosperity gospel’ into our churches under the guise of ‘abundant’ life. He’s wormed his dangerous deception, without its being recognized, into the hearts and minds of church leaders and church members. The ‘ABUNDANCE’ spoken of in John10:10 is…the moving of our souls from spiritual death to LIFE…LIFE RESTORED…LIFE MORE THAN MEAT-MORE THAN RAIMENT…LIFE BEYOND THE ‘NARROW’ GATE…LIFE FOUND AFTER DYING TO SELF….LIFE RANSOMED BY A FRIEND-CHRIST…LIFE AS RIVERS OF WATER RATHER THAN PARCHED GROUND…LIFE THAT QUICKENS RATHER THAN PERISHES…LIFE WHICH ENDURES FOREVER.
