The parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins is another clear insight as to how to attain eternal
life in God. The five Wise were already ‘watching’ (1 Thes 5:4,4) before the cry went forth at midnight, “Behold the bridegroom cometh.”
| Isa 1:18 | Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. |
Ps 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Is 62:1For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
THE FIVE FOOLISH VIRGINS CARRIED NO OIL FOR THE LAMPS. THEY WERE HYPOCRITES WHO DID NOT DISCERN THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES. THEY DID NOT PREPARE FOR THE DARKNESS…FOR THE MIDNIGHT HOUR…FOR THE COMING OF THE BRIDEGROOM IN THE MIDST OF EXTREME DARKNESS.
Proverbs 13:9 The light of the righteous rejoiceth: but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out
AND THE ‘DOOR’ WAS NEVER OPEN AFTER THE BRIDE WENT IN TO THE BRIDGROOM!
No soul, no soul, NO SOUL will be saved, under any circumstance after the Church (Bride) is gathered to the Bridegroom. The DOOR is SHUT and NEVER opens again. Like the DOOR of the Ark was SHUT by God and NEVER opened to the wicked again. Like the DOOR of deliverance was SHUT when Lot and his family were delivered from Sodom. The angels didn’t make two ’snatchings.’ Lots off false doctrine is floating around on the subject. But, remember, the DOOR never opened to the foolish virgins. They were the ones addressed in the following scripture.
Matt 7:22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matthew 5:1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out
9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with
him to the marriage: and the door was shut
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

We have to notice one thing: All these 10 are virgins. It means they all once knew Jesus as their Lord. The 5 wise virgins had ongoing relationship with Jesus (obedient to His commands!). This is the reason I do not believe in once saved is always saved.

Thanks for the comment. Sin most certainly is life and death business. As to ‘once saved always saved’….that will be my next post. But it’s taking a while getting ALL scripture together. As to the Five Foolish virgins…Christ did say ‘Depart, I NEVER knew you.’ But, in rightly dividing the Word, we can’t, of course, take a single scripture and stand on that one alone. I so believe we are living the last generation before the return of our loving Father. Also, I so enjoy hearing from my Christians brothers and sisters from way out there in the blogosphere
. My desire for you is that His ‘will be done’ with you and yours.
