Did God purpose Eve’s appointment with death at the Tree of Knowledge? Genesis 1:27 records that God made man in his own image, (28) blessed them…commanded them to be fruitful and subdue the earth. But, whoa up! They can’t subdue the earth while they are confined within Eden. Didn’t He place them in the Garden of Eden and purpose them to know only good….forever? NO. Follow me now……open mind. Don’t shake your traditionally taught fist at me…..yet :sweet smile:.
Genesis 1:26 told of God’s purpose for ’man’…….‘in our image.’ AFTER the Tree of Knowledge deal…..God said, Genesis 3:22 “And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil……..” YIP..YIP..YIp..Yip..yipppp…that’s what it says….after eating of the Tree of Knowledge….God’s purpose for man in the Garden is fulfilled…man is now in the image of God in that he knows both good and evil. NOW …the highest of all earthly creatures is equipped, after personal experience of both good (God/Life) and evil (Satan/Death)……to choose whom he will serve. Man now is ready to leave the garden, (Gen 1:28) be fruitful, multiply, and subdue the earth. Remember God’s promise of spiritual death as the result of eating of the Tree of Knowledge. So forgiven (bloody coats of skin) Adam and Eve, after God’s purposed appointment to death (Heb.9.27…appointed unto man once to die) , are released into the dark earthly realm of spiritual death to continue their Godly mandate of procreation and rulership of the earth. Eve is the fulfillment (completion) of the creation of man (male and female). Christ is the fulfillment (completion) of the Law. Man’s coming to ‘know’ evil (death) is the fulfillment of ’in our image’ and of man having knowledge necessary to CLEARLY choose to whom he will obey. Likewise, the Second Coming of Christ is the fulfillment of the First Coming…and is the fullness of redemption. 9 “And he made his grave with the wicked…..” 12 “……because he has poured out his soul unto death.” Jesus gave his soul to redeem our individual souls lost to ‘death’ in Eden at the Tree of Knowledge. Romans 3:25…’Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” Matthew 22:37 ‘….Thou shalt love the Lord they God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love they neighbor as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Individually, are we alive or dead? Are we redeemed back to Eden (Life) with the Father?
I encountered the Love of God at a time during which I removed myself from the rat race. During these few days I completely withdrew from those around me and, for the first time in my life, listened and waited…for the presence of God. He came. His presence filled my being with the deepest and most joyous emotion I have ever experience…….Love of the God kind. Since that time…my heart is softer to the plight of those around me. My desire is for the good of others and not my own good. My trust (faith) is become ‘child like.’ I have no fear of things in the world….warfares, financial declines, prevalent evils. I live by the unspeakable sacrifice of Jesus, as a member of the family of God, the Kingdom of God….on this earth/here and now.
1John 2:3 ‘And hereby do we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 6 He that saith he abide in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. 15 Love not the world, neither the things of the world. If any man love the world, the Love of the Father is not in him.’ 1 John 3:7 ‘Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seek remaineth in him: and he cannot sin because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.’ John 8:12 ‘…I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.’
Jesus prayed for the redeemed, his brethren in the Kingdom of God, when he said, John 17:15 ‘I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through thy truth; thy word is truth. 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 22 And the glory which thou gavet me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast love me.”
JOHN 5:24 “VERILY, VERILY, I SAY UNTO YOU, HE THAT HEARETH MY WORD, AND BELIEVETH ON HIM THAT SENT ME, HATH EVERLASTING LIFE, AND SHALL NOT COME INTO CONDEMNATION; BUT IS PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE.”
